‘Free Registry Cleaner’ is a program intended to be registry-cleaning software. With a few clicks, this program safely cleans and repairs Windows registry problems. The program provides a panel with a few options that can be set. Besides the ‘Scan now’ option, you find the ‘wizard’ option, which helps you create a system restore point. Even though, I wasn’t able to find out how I can use that restore point, in case I need it.
If you open the ‘About’ window, the ‘Options’, or any other window that has a ‘Cancel’ button, when you press the ‘Cancel’ button the scan will start automatically. I don’t know if this is supposed to be useful, but from the user’s perspective, it’s very frustrating.
The program cleaned my computer’s registry. However, the program couldn’t clean nine problems. Each time I started the scan, the nine problems reappeared, even if I removed them at the previous scan.
The user interface is well organized, but there’s no message when the scan finishes.
Pluses: Easy-to-use. Works fast. It’s free.
Drawbacks / flaws: It has several problems. One of them is mentioned above, related to the ‘Cancel’ button. The user interface is too orange.
